2 Days Cappadocia Tour from Safranbolu
Date: (Every Friday Night 23.00 From Safranbolu Misaki Milli Square)
Day 1: Hot Air Balloon Ride or Watching Tour (Optional) / Breakfast / Central Cappadocia Tour
Lunar Cappadocia Tour (Central Cappadocia / Red Line))
We arrive in Cappadocia early in the morning and begin the day with a hot air balloon ride and sightseeing. Following the balloon ride, our Cappadocia tour begins with a delicious breakfast. Guests participating in this tour will explore Central Cappadocia, encompassing Uçhisar, Göreme, Avanos, and Ürgüp, with short drive-throughs and plenty of walking.
Cappadocia, which has hosted many firsts in Anatolia, is a cultural city that has attracted the world's attention with its historical significance as a site of many civilizational developments, from pottery making to written history, from the first street markets (Kaniş-Karum) to the first settlements. It was also considered a sacred region for the Hittites, being the homeland of the Hittite Mother Goddess Hepat.
It is also considered sacred by Christians because it was a place where Christians who fled from the land of Israel due to Roman oppression in the late 1st century and sought refuge in Anatolia hid and thus the Christian religion survived, and even became an important center of Christianity after it was declared the official religion of the Eastern Roman Empire by Constantine the Great in the 4th century.
PASHABAGLARI
Pashabaglari, which has preserved the cell chambers of the Ascetic life from the 1st to the 4th centuries, is one of the important stops on our tour. The monks who lived a secluded life and popularized cell living here, take you on a historical journey between the 1st and 4th centuries with the cell houses they carved in the Pashabaglari valley.
DEVRENT VALLEY (LET YOUR IMAGINATION RUN FREE)
Home to many animals and inanimate figures, especially camels, this valley is a land of fairy chimneys that will take shape and multiply in your imagination, taking you on a journey to an endless land of dreams. A short walk through the valley will keep you with your camera constantly in hand, with its formations that are sometimes frightening, sometimes fun and interesting (I said this metaphorically, you should still keep your camera in hand :)
AVANOS
"Even a blind man knows the way to Avanos, it's evident from the broken pottery," says the famous Aşık Seyrani from Develi. And it's true. It's fair to say that pottery grows in Avanos. Because around Avanos you'll see many trees with pottery hanging on them, these are landscapes that practically say to you, "Our fruit is pottery." In Avanos, a man isn't considered a real man if he doesn't know how to make pottery; they won't even give their daughters in marriage to him. Come here and listen to the story of pottery making, a major industry and cultural heritage, directly from the potter himself, as he shapes his pottery and your heart on the potter's wheel.
Göreme Open-Air Museum
This monastery complex, founded by the famous Bishop Basilius of Kayseri, showcases Cappadocian monastic life, the highest level of church decoration (12th-century fresco art), and early decorative art (Secco drawing). It is one of the most visited museums in the region. The Göreme Open Air Museum, which partially marked the end of the ascetic lifestyle, is an important school where monks, once living in shabby conditions, began to live together in healthier conditions under the leadership of Basil of Kayseri. It's also a place where hot meals and medicine were first introduced to monastic life, and where you can explore the Secco and Fresco art of the 7th to 12th centuries in detail.
LOVE VALLEY
Originally called Bağlıdere (previously famous for its vineyards), this viewpoint, known as the Love Valley since the 1990s, is a place of interesting formations where ATV tours, wedding shoots, hot air balloon rides, and photo safaris take place. Famous for its heart-shaped formations when viewed from a balloon, this valley maintains its popularity among Cappadocia travel routes thanks to the social media posts of celebrities visiting the region.
THREE BEAUTIES
This stop, featuring the most famous fairy chimneys of Cappadocia, is also a popular spot for photography enthusiasts and one of Cappadocia's ascetic living spaces. While still bearing traces of the cell life of ascetic monks, it also serves as a natural studio for stunning visual combinations during the hot air balloon flights between 5:00 and 7:00 AM.
UCHISAR CASTLE
This tall structure, an example of ancient skyscrapers, is located on the highest hill in the region. Offering a commanding view of all of central Cappadocia, it's a natural fortress where you can witness the most beautiful sunsets. It's called "Uç Hisar" (Frontier Castle) because it was a frontier principality during the Ottoman period. During our tour, you'll capture the best photos and views from a viewing platform near the castle, and as you hear from your guide about the civilizations it once hosted, you'll sigh, wishing time would stop, and drift into distant daydreams.

GÖREME PANORAMA
The first stop on this tour is a high point in Göreme, offering a unique view of the village itself, the cave hotels, the nearby valleys, and Uçhisar Castle. Your guide will provide you with detailed information about the region, its geological formations, and its history.
DERİNKUYU UNDERGROUND CITY
Underground cities are a unique feature of Cappadocia, created by the ease of excavation of the soft tuff layer. These ancient settlements, which met the need for a safe haven for ancient civilizations, also have the distinction of being among the first settlements in Anatolia. Underground cities protected people from raids, and unlike many parts of Anatolia, these shelters were not easily invaded. A total of 36 underground cities have been discovered in Cappadocia. Initially, these were underground villages with fewer rooms, but gradually, especially during the Roman period, they grew to a size capable of housing thirty thousand people. The word "Derinkuyu" (meaning "deep well") takes its name from the abundance of water wells in the region. Derinkuyu has eight underground levels and reaches a depth of 55.5 meters. It contains rooms for pets, storage areas, a dining room, a kitchen, wine cellars, a church, and even a missionary school and a confessional tunnel. The ventilation shafts of that era are still functioning, and the tunnels and halls of the ancient city, now an underground museum, are quite well-lit.
NAR LAKE (NARLIGÖL)
Narlı Lake, the turquoise star of Southern Cappadocia, is a crater lake. The hot and cold spring waters emerging from the bottom of the lake, approximately 100 meters deep, indicate the continued presence of geothermal activity beneath the lake. This lake, which also serves as a hot thermal water source for the thermal hotels surrounding it, is striking from above and has a heart shape. Here, your guide will provide information about the lake and allow you to enjoy Turkish coffee or tea while admiring the lake view.
IHLARA VALLEY
Ihlara is a rocky canyon that divides the plain into two "banks" like a deep valley. It is approximately 14 kilometers long and reaches a depth of up to 150 meters in some places. The canyon stretches from Ihlara village to Selime village. The small Melendiz river flows at the bottom. Ihlara served as a refuge for Christian monks, and therefore dozens of rock-cut churches and hundreds of dwelling caves are found here. The walking tour in the valley lasts 3.5 km.
LUNCH BY THE MELENDIZ RIVER
The whisper of the Melendiz River, the sounds of birds, delicious local food - a sweet break you need to rest, recharge and continue your journey.
SELIME MONASTERY
Selime Monastery is located at the northern end of Ihlara Canyon and is the highest rock-carved monastery in Cappadocia. The views from it are magnificent! It is also remarkable that you can see all the components of the monastery in one composition.
PIGEON VALLEY
Pigeons are very important in Cappadocia. Because if you need to grow plants, vegetables, grapes, etc., you need to fertilize the soil; otherwise, the harvest will be unproductive and unhealthy. Tour Includes
* 1 Night Accommodation (B&B)
* English Speaking Guide
* Transportation
* Small bottle of water
* Lunch
* Museum entrance fees
