Enjoy a hike and breathe in the fresh air in the rich vegetation ecology of Sarıçiçek Plateau, which can be reached with approximately a 30-minute journey from Safranbolu. Spending time hiking and enjoying fresh air is an activity we frequently recommend to those living in and around Karabük, a city known for its industrial areas.
Sarıçiçek Plateau and its surroundings are also quite rich in terms of flora and fauna. Pure fir (Abies bornmülleriana) forests predominate on the north-facing slopes, while young Scots pine (Pinus sylvestris) and, in some places, mature Scots pine (Pinus sylvestris) can be found among the fir (Abies bornmülleriana) trees. The concentration of the plateau's water resources in one place, even if artificially, contributes significantly to the richness of the underwater flora and fauna.
This route, perfect for those seeking a beautiful nature walk amidst this natural richness and elegance, is walkable in all seasons. In spring and autumn, it offers a vibrant display of colors, making it a popular destination for photography enthusiasts. We would be honored to welcome you on these walks.
The total length of the trail is 13km, and the walk is a full day. Our tours are guided by a professional guide, but meals are not included. Everyone brings their own food; lunch is served as a picnic.
